Beyond Limits

"Beyond Limits" needed a backdrop that felt like another world, a location that embodied the boundaries the campaign was pushing. Lanzarote gave us exactly that with desert mountains and volcanoes on the edge of Timanfaya’s National Park.

The athletes were cast for their professional disciplines, chosen specifically so I could push the shoot that bit further.

Getting there took real groundwork, working with local production to negotiate access to protected areas and secure permits so the team could land and get straight into it. Just as important was keeping budget efficiencies tight, making sure as much value as possible went in front of the camera, while still looking after the crew who were working in such a remote and demanding environment.
