The ‘Beyond Limits’ campaign required a backdrop of another world, the location had to epitomise the boundaries being pushed. The athletes casted were selected for there professional disciplines so we could push the shots that little further. Lanzarotte gave us desert mountains and volcanoes on the edge of Timanfaya’s national park. The project required me to work with local production to negotiate the protected areas for permits and to ensure the team had the best opportunity on execute on arrival. Budget efficiencies were vital to guarantee as much production value went behind the camera whilst also creating working conditions for the team in such remote and harsh locations.
